A New Generation

Introducing the first Asian Hope baby:

Nisa was born December 31, 2011.

Vanna, Nisa’s dad, came to Asian Hope’s Children’s home at age 14 and now at age 26 has his first child. Vanna and Chea have been married for two years.

Free Visit to the Dentist

Through Asian Hope’s many connections, we were able to host a team of dentists from a local university to do free check-ups for 100 plus School-in-School students (Cambodian kids in the community).

Health insurance is unheard of for most Cambodians and since dental hygiene is not a priority for many families, parents rarely take their kids to visit the dentist unless their children are in severe pain and if they can afford it.

A Change of Heart Through Servitude

This year’s Bible Camp brought high school students and teachers to northern Cambodia to serve in Beng Mealea village for a week. The Logos International School students arrived at the village to chanting at the local temple which lasted into the night and into the next day.  They stayed in grass huts with electricity cutting out at 9 p.m. every night and did manual labor throughout the increasingly hot days. Sharing the Joy of Christmas

Leading up to Christmas, Asian Hope had the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas in its different ministries and outreach programs. Here are highlights and photos from a few of Asian Hope’s different ministries.

High School Students Serve the Community

High School Students Serve the Community

Logos International High School shut down for a few days to provide students a chance to volunteer. “Part of Logos’s vision is to serve our community and transform them for Christ,” said Angela Harris Service Projects coordinator. Students and teachers traveled to nine different locations in Cambodia for the Service Projects during the last weekend of November. Some locations were several minutes from Logos and some in remote villages hours away from the city.

Village Catch-Up School Opens

School is now in session! 2FIVE2 opened its doors to 68 kids on November 17, 2011 in the village of Prek Pneu. Many of the kids became students for the first time and sang songs, played games about sanitation and sat through a basic orientation on the first day of school.
