The children’s home began in 1998. The vision was to take in 20 abandoned street kids from the capital city of Phnom Penh and meet their family and educational needs. By bringing in fewer orphans, Asian Hope is able to focus more on equipping them to become leaders, and thus having the opportunity to dramatically influence the next generation of Cambodians spiritually, morally, economically, and educationally.

The children’s homes have raised over 30 orphans during the last 10 years. In January 2007 the children’s home was separated into a boy’s home and a girl’s home. Each home has 2 adult guardians that fill the role of House Parent managing the meals, housing, clothing, health care, studies, entertainment, and chores of the children. They also seek to impart healthy relationship and conflict skills in an environment that promotes spiritual vitality.

The Asian Hope children have gone from fighting to survive, to dreaming of becoming doctors and nurses, businessmen, teachers, pastors and engineers! They have a new vision and hope; God has a plan and a future for them and their country!
