I have one sister and three brothers. I am the third child. But, I am the only one that lives in Asian Hope now. The rest are in the province. My life was just fine, but it was soon shattered when my parents got divorced. My father was abusing my mom and some of us kids. My father was an alcoholic. My mom left my dad to live with her father with the second child and the fourth child. The rest of my siblings and I lived with my dad.
When my mom saw that we didn’t get enough food, she took us in. My dad then was left alone. When I lived with my mother, I didn’t really get enough love from her. In 2000, when I returned back from school, I got the news that I would have to move to Phnom Penh to live with someone else, because my mom didn’t have enough money and the strength to take care of us. I didn’t want to leave my family, but my mom insisted that I should. I left that afternoon.
The story of how God revealed Himself to me is amazing. The first day in Asian Hope, they had devotions. It was the first time I heard the gospel. The following day, I had a fever. I thought that I was going to die. I prayed to Jesus to please heal me. I told Him that I wanted Him to be my God, and I would be His forever. Immediately, I felt the heat left my body and I was healed! From that time on, I believe in God and started to get to know who He is by reading the Bible and developed a relationship with Him.
Now, my goal is to serve Christ with all of my heart. I want to share Christ’s love that He has shown me to others. I want to be involved in an organization so that they can send me out to whichever country that God wants me to be. But God is the One that determines my life. I am very thankful for Asian Hope. Asian Hope provides me shelter, food and a good school. I also would like to thank all of our donors. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to you all. May you be blessed with your giving!
